Starting on New Years Eve, 2022 and continuing for several weeks, a series of atmospheric rivers, 20+ foot swells and high tides pounded the Central Coast and caused extensive damage coastal homes, restaurants, piers and flooded many communities.  In response, Santa Cruz and Pajaro was visited by Governor Newsome, FEMA, senators, congressmen and even President Biden.
