Since Covid and the rise of housing and cost of living in Santa Cruz, homelessness skyrocketed. The voices and faces of these unhoused were shunned by most of the Santa Cruz community.  As a photojournalist, I tried to give these unhoused a voice and tried to take photos that revealed who these individuals are as human being.
